Return & Exchange Policy

Since all of our products are handmade and many are customized specifically for each order, we unfortunately cannot offer refunds. However, we understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, so we do offer exchanges on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with our product warranty policy.

If you receive a damaged or defective item and would like to initiate an exchange or request store credit, please reach out to us within 48 hours of receiving the package at hello@fablelaneshop.com. Please include your order number and a photo of the defective product with the defect clearly shown in the email so we can assist you quickly. 

For eligible exchanges, please note that all shipping costs for returning the item will be the responsibility of the customer. We are unable to offer returns or exchanges if you’ve simply changed your mind or ordered the wrong color or style, so please double-check your order details carefully before completing your purchase.

While we’re unable to offer refunds on any purchases, we’re committed to making sure you’re happy with your experience, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns!

Processing and Shipping

All of our jewelry is carefully handmade by us, so please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be created and processed before it ships. During busy times like holidays or sales events, please keep in mind that processing may take a bit longer. We’ll always do our best to get your order out as quickly as possible, but those extra few days allow us to ensure everything is perfect before it heads your way.

Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive an email notification with tracking details, so you can keep an eye on its progress. Shipping times vary based on your location, but typically, domestic orders will arrive within 7–10 business days after shipping. International orders may take a little longer, depending on the destination and any customs processing.

Please note that we are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. If you receive a notification that your package has been delivered but you can’t locate it, we recommend waiting a few days to see if it turns up—sometimes packages can be delayed or mistakenly delivered to a neighbor. If it still doesn’t appear, we suggest reaching out to the shipping provider directly to file a claim and resolve any delivery issues.

Before placing your order, please double-check that your shipping address is correct. Once an order is processed, we’re unable to make changes to the address, so it’s important to make sure everything is accurate before you complete your purchase.

Product Guarantee & Warranty Policy

At Fable Lane, we’re committed to using only the highest quality materials in all of our jewelry. Most of our pieces are made with gold-filled materials, which are tarnish- and chip-resistant. 1-Year Tarnish or Chipping Guarantee
We’re confident in the durability of our jewelry. If you’ve followed the care instructions and notice tarnishing or chipping within one year of your purchase, we’ll be happy to offer an exchange or store credit. To request an exchange or credit, simply email us at hello@fablelaneshop.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. Please allow at least 3 business days for us to review and process your request.

This guarantee covers issues related to normal wear, but it doesn’t apply if the jewelry has been exposed to harsh chemicals, perfumes, or moisture, or has been mishandled in any way.

If your request is approved, we’ll send you a replacement piece. If the exact item is no longer available, we’ll provide a similar product of at least equal value.

30-Day Assembly Guarantee
We handcraft each charm necklace with care and attention to detail, ensuring that your charms will stay intact with normal wear. We guarantee that the charm attachment will remain secure for at least 30 days from the date of purchase.

If your charms detach from your charm necklace within 30 days after your purchase, send us an email at hello@fablelaneshop.com and we will work out a solution with you.

This guarantee doesn’t cover damage caused by misuse (like pulling, tugging, or rough handling). Please treat your jewelry gently to help it last as long as possible.

Warranty Claims
If you encounter any issues covered by our warranty, reach out to us within the warranty period with your order details and a description of the problem. We may ask for photos to help us assess the situation.

Exclusions
Please note that our warranty does not cover:

  • Loss or theft of jewelry
  • Damage from improper care, misuse, or neglect
  • Modifications or repairs done by unauthorized third parties

Material Information & Care Instructions

Fable Lane exclusively uses high-quality charms and chains that are meant to last with normal wear and proper care.

To keep your Fable Lane jewelry looking its best for years, follow these care guidelines:

  • Remove jewelry during physical activities such as running, working out, gardening, hiking, swimming, or doing household chores.
  • Avoid exposure to chemicals like shampoos, soaps, lotions, makeup, and hairspray. Household items and foods that contain sulfur should also be kept away from your jewelry.
  • Limit exposure to chlorine, especially in pools, hot tubs, or spas.
  • Don't use abrasive materials such as rough cloths, towels, or even tissues, as these can scratch or damage the surface. Instead, use a soft microfiber or lens cloth for cleaning.
  • Store your jewelry in a dry, airtight place (e.g., a Ziploc bag) to prevent tarnishing. Always clean the jewelry before storing it. Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe away oxidation and restore shine. You can also rinse your jewelry in warm water to remove oils from your skin, followed by buffing with a soft cloth.
  • Regularly clean your jewelry with mild soap and water, then pat dry with a soft cloth (avoid rubbing).

FAQ

How many charms can I get on one necklace?

As many as you'd like! We recommend choosing 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11 charms! Choosing an odd number ensures there is one charm in the middle and keeps it symmetrical. Smaller number of charms will generally be spaced a little further apart and more charms will create a more full and clustered look.

How do I know how big the charms are?

  • We have grouped all our charms into four size categories: mini, small, medium, and large.
  • We have included a reference photo with each charm showing an average size charm from each category.
  • We recommend choosing charms from two categories for the best scale (i.e. choose mini and small charms; small and medium charms; or medium and large charms together)
  • For best results, place the largest charm as the center charm.

What size chain should I choose?

  • The size you choose depends on personal preference.
  • Our chains come in 2 sizes (16” and 18”). All chains come with a 2” extender to give you a range of lengths. 
  • If you are undecided, we recommend going with a larger size as it is much easier to modify your necklace to a shorter length than the other way around.

How long will it take for you to make my necklace?

  • All of our jewelry is crafted by our own hands after you place your order, so please allow 5-7 business days for us to create your custom necklace.
  • Processing time may vary during holidays, sales events, or launches.

How will I know when my jewelry has shipped?

You will receive an email notifying you when your order has shipped with tracking information.

I didn't get my package. What should I do?

Is my jewelry waterproof?

No. Our jewelry is water-resistant, but not meant to be exposed to water for extended periods of time. We recommend removing your jewelry for any activities that might expose it to moisture. If your jewelry is exposed to moisture, follow the care instructions to gently clean and dry with a microfiber cloth. You may use warm water to clean your jewelry, but should immediately be buffed dry with a microfiber cloth.

Will my jewelry tarnish?

Fable Lane jewelry is tarnish-free. This means that it is not likely to tarnish when cared for properly and should look amazing for years to come with normal wear. If your jewelry does tarnish, please see our product guarantee for more details.
